Supposedly there was a small house next to the mansion. No wonder the other people didn't make any noises after starting up the hill! We were always told of midgets throwing rocks at us but never had a rock thrown. They would dare each other to go deeper in, but never made it past the second level. The other urban myth was that there were four bridges on Mount Soledad and if you found the fourth you would warp away and never come back.

I remember there was a guard of some sort at the mansion too, this was an old spanish style villa home, very nice in it's day.

If you would open your eyes to more than just a mile outside of loop then you would know about the mansions, priviledged homasteads along Vance Jackson and the Greater San Antonio area. I my self have been to the torn down mansion when I was younger. After that I broke my lease and moved out. They were always sacrificing animals.
I did visit yet again before Promontory Pointe was built, the same old foundation, pool and everything else was still there, this time it was night. We walked away and the cops stayed. As we were walking we would hear footsteps as if something was following us. There is one in Fort Worth, Texas. No one I talk to seems to remember it.
